Our next event is a School Disco on Friday 31st January. Key Stage 1 disco will be 5:30 - 6:30pm and Key Stage 2 disco will be from 6:45 - 7:45pm.

 

Advance Notice: Quiz Night will be on Friday 21st March  at St John's Place. Start considering your team of 6 players now (over 18s only).

We are a group of Mums, Dads and teachers who meet regularly to plan events and fundraise for Bemerton St John Primary School in Lower Bemerton, Salisbury. All money raised directly benefits the pupils at this school. We get involved wherever we can to help the school,  and try to spread a little happiness along the way. 

 

Our most recent fundraisers:

The Christmas Bazaar was held on Friday 6th December 2024 from 3.15pm in St John's Place. We are very grateful to our all our school community and local businesses who provided some fabulous prizes for our hamper raffle. Bemerton St John's wonderful choir opened the bazaar by singing beautifully in the porch. There were many fantastic games run by the Year 6 children, craft stalls, raffles, food and drink to purchase, and even an opportunity for children to choose and wrap a gift for a family member. Father Christmas had cleared his busy schedule to allow children to visit him in his grotto and receive a gift. A special thank you to our wonderful team who came together to provide this festive occasion. We are delighted to announce that we made a new record-breaking total of £2,255.74.

 

Our Summer Fete " Summer of Sport" was another record-breaking success.  Thank you to everyone who helped and supported us before and on the day. We were absolutely delighted by the generosity of local businesses and our school community in generating some amazing raffle prizes. The weather was fantastic, the inflatables exciting, the barbecue busy and the stalls all keen to entertain those who had come to support our biggest annual event. Whether you were looking for wine amongst the water, Olympic diving into the lucky dip or digging out men "lost in the long jump", we are thrilled to announce the grand total of £3,481.13.

 

The 50:50 draws are now taking place each month. Congratulations to the winners of our most recent draw.

Please keep on donating to the Textile Recycling bin; we get paid per kg collected.

NB: Donations need to be in a carrier bag please to avoid getting wet.

Our Successes!

We were delighted to help the school purchase a trim trail for the playground, giving all year groups an opportunity for physical challenge and play. It has been very well received by the school community.

We have also been able to use our funds to purchase 8 new gazebos for the school, providing shade in the playground on hotter days. These were most useful on Sports Day, allowing each class to stay out of the blazing sun between races.

We are so excited to have raised enough money to purchase the new playground shelter, and to have it in use the same hour the builders completed its installation! The Rainbow Shelter has not only provided cover for FoBShop and Freezer Fridays, but allows playground shelter from all-weathers for the whole school to use as appropriate across the daym whilst generating space, light and enrichment for learning and play.

We are always keen to welcome new members to join our friendly group.
